Strategic Planning & Business Plan Development
Whether you’ve just begun your practice or been established for years, whether you’re a solo practitioner or a member of a large multi-specialty practice, in order to reach your goals it’s important that you periodically step back, take stock of your current situation, and make adjustments where necessary. Strategic planning and developing a clear business plan can guide you through this process, helping you to create a “roadmap” to success.
For an independent and experienced outside perspective to help your practice with this process, give Schenck a call. Our consultants have extensive experience working with and managing physicians’ practices, and have helped to guide those practices through the ups and downs of business, to help them stay together and stay focused through both.
Strategic Planning
Strategic planning is a dynamic process of identifying the strengths and goals of your practice, and what process to take to reach those goals. A strategic plan identifies the core values held by all key stakeholders, and builds a mission statement from those core values. This mission drives the organization through all decisions, whether those decisions involve external relationships, internal relationships, distribution and use of resources, or any other aspect of internal operations. The strategic planning process allows you and your colleagues to build understanding and synergy around common values and goals. Participants explore and gain understanding of the issues from everyone’s perspective. This participatory process results in buy-in to the final plan from all involved.
Business Plan Development
In addition to a strategic plan which guides your organization, every practice should have a current business plan. Developing a business plan provides your organization with specific, measurable goals and objectives, financial and otherwise, and helps you to identify the strategies to achieve them including timelines and responsibilities. Business plans need to be reviewed annually to assess progress and realign goals and priorities.
When you’re envisioning and planning for the future of your practice, you’ll appreciate the insight and experienced perspective that Schenck provides. For more information on how we can help you build the future of your practice, give us a call at 800-236-2246.
