Bill Goodman of Schenck Receives WICPA Distinguished Career Award 

 
APPLETON – Schenck SC is pleased to announce that Bill Goodman, CPA, President, recently received the 2012 Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) Distinguished Career Award. Goodman was presented with the award on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the WICPA’s Member Recognition Banquet and Annual Business Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

The WICPA is the premier professional organization for Wisconsin CPAs, with more than 8,000 members working in public accounting, industry, government and education. The Distinguished Career Award is given each year to a member who has shown leadership, has made significant contributions to the profession and has an outstanding record of service to the WICPA and the local community.  

Goodman’s background includes over twenty years of client service and progressive administrative leadership experience in the Wisconsin public accounting industry. He joined Schenck as President in 2003. Prior to that, he was the managing partner of KPMG’s Milwaukee office. 

Goodman is actively involved in a leadership capacity for various professional and community organizations. He is a member of the WICPA, and has served as a board member and president of the organization. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and served as a member of the Governing Council.  

Goodman was recently elected Board Chair of AGN International-North America (AGN-NA), one of the leading associations of independent accounting firms in North America. He has served on AGN-NA’s Board of Directors since 2006 and on its Executive Committee since 2009.
